Funeral director expertise

We are part of a network of independent funeral directors across the UK who are NAFD and SAIF members. This means we can ensure families and corporate partners receive dedicated personal care, wherever they are located. We have established a professional track record of leading and supporting international repatriations, with collection or delivery to any UK location.

Specialist teams

Our team includes specialists with a track record for delivering the attention to detail needed for safe global repatriations. We provide a full and flexible service for any inbound or outbound repatriation, working collaboratively with partners throughout. We also have an accredited team of funeral directors and embalmers able to support our repatriation specialists when required.

First class facilities

Our head office in a capital city allows easy access to transport by air, sea, and rail, as well as access to embassies and consulates. With a substantial mortuary, we can accommodate and care for the deceased for the longer time periods that can be required with international repatriations. This removes time pressures on families and partners when making decisions and arrangements.

Single point of contact

By providing a single point of contact for families we can reduce stress at a time of loss and sadness, and ensure we are able to build a relationship that is based around their needs. We also understand that our busy partners are often juggling multiple other tasks, so we make it as easy as possible for them to communicate everything with one of our repatriation specialists.

Expert communication

Core values of compassion, dedication, integrity and respect apply to all our clients and partners in every communication. We know how important it is for families and partners to have real-time updates during every journey stage of a repatriation, and tailor our approach to meetings and updates to meet the requirements of families and our corporate partners.

Personal touches

A loved one is at the heart of all repatriations or funerals, so like any family we support, we’ll do whatever is needed to make it meaningful and personal even if they are on the other side of the world. With a team available 24/7, we can support families and partners in any time zone. We also use video calls and live streaming of services to connect families across thousands of miles.

Regulation and professional body memberships

The funeral sector in Scotland is the first in the UK to be fully regulated, requiring us to meet minimum standards of professional training, facilities and quality of care. We take our obligations under the Funeral Director Code of Practice very seriously and aim to exceed these standards at every opportunity. Our membership of recognised professional bodies evidences our commitment to achieving excellence across our services.

When Mum died on holiday, we were worried about how to bring her home safely and smoothly. From our initial enquiry to the end of the process, Purves lifted the burden from our shoulders and ensured that Mum was treated with great dignity in their care.
